There is mounting circumstantial evidence that the Benjamin, William, John, and Richard GEORGE enumerated in the 1820 census for Lincoln County, TN, were sons of John GEORGE Jr. and Frances ---. James and Thomas GEORGE, enumerated in the same census, were also part of this group. John, Richard, and Benjamin were noted in Pendleton District, SC, between 1790 and 1800. The GEORGEs were associated with the TUCKER families, who came from Mecklenburg County, VA, via Halifax County, VA.
