I am researching the Geoghegan family. My mother was a Geoghegan and my earliest known ancestor was Christopher Gewoghegan who married Ellen Helion in 1841 in Rahan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Ireland. My Geoghegan branch come from Ballycallaghan, Streamstown, Ballycowan and Loughawn in Offaly and westmeath.
