Hello Tim, Greetings from your cousin! Your great-great-grandfather was my 2nd cousin, 3 times removed. I think that makes us 5th cousins. I have Peter or Pierre as born in Beloeil, in Verchères County, east of Montréal, on 26 March 1832. His parents were Joseph and Anastasie Brodeur. I have him marrying Hermine Proulx in Woonsocket Falls, Rhode Island on 25 March 1886. I have 6 children for them, Louis Napoleon, born 1858 and dying at age 18. Freddy, and Minnie about whom I don't know much, Nettie, born and died in Milbury, Massachusetts, Willis, born in Milford, Mass. in 1861 and died there in 1865, and Adolphe D. who seems to be the only one who married and had children. Would that be your line? I have a wife and children and grandchildren for Adolphe but then my information stops. Perhaps you could fill me in on what follows. My father used to mention a branch of the family that used Jefferson instead of Geoffrion. Is that the spelling that prevailed? Do you know much about his activity in the Civil War? I think that would be interesting to know something about. Frank Geoffrion Notify Administrator about this message?
