Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Stefan

My family came from Wallerfagen to New York in Sept. 1877. My G Grandfather had been the interem bergermeister. Eduard Genz. I understand that Gentz/Genz are used interchangably. Norton Genz of Hamburg told me his uncle used Gentz and his father used Genz. I have fairly extensive research starting with their arrival in NY. If you are interested, contact me.
