Hy,
my name is Norbert Genz and my family is coming from the area Greifenberg in Pomerania. The name Genz or Gentz in Germany is also not even common. We have two spellings of our family name, my father had choosen Genz and his brother Gentz.
I can folow up my family up to Hermann Genz born 13.03.1830 died 9.10.1906 in Greifenberg. Maried with Auguste Boettcher. They had one son, from which i know, his name was Otto Friedrich Wilhelm, born at 23.11.1863 in Greifenberg maried with Matilde Maria Dorotea Janke. They had together 7 children, as there are Otto, Martha, Albert, Marie Anna, Frieda and Friedrich (which was my grandfather).
Does anyone see connections to his family? As far as i know Otto or Albert have been for some time in America.
