I would like to share some information with someone that is wanting to update their FTM's or whatever. I have things that you cannot usually find on Ancestry or librarys. I live here in the tri-county area of Pontotoc, Union and Lee county, where most of Levi's children and grandchildren+ were living for a long time..(1870 lee MS census; 1880 Lee,Union MS census; 1900 Pontotoc, Union,Lee MS census) Many descendents still around here, the ones that did not move to Indian territory. I will also be finding out more before long. This is just information on some of the children of Levi and Ruth Gentry - Samuel, Deborah, Elizabeth, Levi F., Elijah, Martha D., and their offspring. I am not loaded with everything you always wanted to know about them, but I do have some local info about them, since I am a descendent living here. I live on the old homeplace of Samuel's daughter Dorcas Gentry Johnson. We will never get anywhere if we don't share every little thing we know, because one little thing may lead to something big. I am mostly only wanting to tell what I know in case anything happens, because we can't take it with us. I am not planning on going anywhere soon, but we don't always have a choice in the matter. Would like to hear from anyone else connected to these Gentry's - Cannons, Martins, McCartys, Sanders...
