Isam B Gentry 1860 Brown Co KS census lists I.B. Gentry 35 farmer b Ky with Henry 16 b MO; William 15 b MO; I.B. 13 b MO; Thomas 11 b Mo. They lived next to Hiram McGuire and also Ezekiel and Jane Gilbert & family. Hiram and Jane brother & sister, children of James A McGuire and Nancy Anglin. 1865 Kansas Agriculture census lists Ezekiel Gilbert as deceased and Isam B and Thomas Gentry living with Jane Gilbert. Isam has $1500 in real estate. Land Records show 02 Aug 1859 Gentry purchased General Land Office Warrant 55.517 of 160 acres. 10 Dec 1874 he sold S 1/2 to his son I. B. Gentry Jr. of Polk County Oregon and the NE 1/4 to Hiram Gilbert (son of Ezekiel & Jane Gilbert) consisting of 36 acres for $1. 1870 Federal Census I cannot find Jane Gilbert nor Isam Gentry, so they were either overlooked or on the move. 1875 Jane is listed in Brown Co Ks, on 28 June 1876 Jane purchased land from Isam B Gentry estate for $100. 1870 census shows Isam B Gentry's sons Henry in Polk Co Oregon, William in Brown Co KS, Isam B. Jr. in Nemaha Co. KS, and Thomas in Brown Co. KS. 1880 census shows Henry and Isam B Jr. in Polk Co OR; William in Brown Co. KS and Thomas not located. What I am trying to establish is from the records Isam B. Gentry was married 28 Feb 1841 Platte Co. MO to Sarah Anglin/Anglen. On the 1850 census Isom and Sarah are listed in Carroll, Platte Co. MO; both 29 yrs. old which makes them born in Ky circa 1821. What happened to Sarah? Who does she descend from? Is she the connection between Isom B. Gentry and Jane Gilbert, as Jane's mother's maiden name was also Anglin and the Anglin's were from KY? Notify Administrator about this message?
