Your response was very interesting. I had thought the name might be English. I have found very little information on the Gentleman name. Just a couple of references in books to a Goodman Gentleman, Esq., of Ballyhorgan, in County Kerry. I have also looked at the " Index to Griffith's Valuation of Ireland, 1848-1864". On it I found a Francis, George, Goodman, Goodman, Esq., Nicholas, Robert, and William, in County Kerry, and a William and John in County Limerick. That is about the extent of what I know. I would appreciate whatever information you would like to share on the Gentleman family from County Kerry.
