William, Philip, Mary late 1700's NH

Some of you will have seen this inquery elsewhere. I am still searching.

My New Hampshire GENTLEMANs began "showing up" ca 1780's. It seems likely that they came from either Ireland or England or Scotland, but I can find no proof. William, the father, would have been born about 1730, certainly by 1750 as his known children: Philip, Willliam, and Mary are all marrying in the 1790's. I do not know where these children were born. A Jane/Jean GENTLEMAN died in NH in 1785 at age 50. She MAY have been William's wife---perhaps. I have New England info on subsequent GENTLEMANs. [A William3 did m 1838 and remove to Athama, LaSalle Co IL]

Thanks for any insights into this family. Subsequent names included John, Charlotte, Mary/Polly, Margaret, Sally and Joseph which may have been common in the GENTLEMAN line or perhaps in the wife's line, I don't know which.

Again thanks. -----Donna
