Hi I'm going to try again to look for some information on this family that seems to be a dead end. I have a Gentle family living in Govan, Lanark, Scotland in 1881. I found a census report from then. They lived at 366 Caledonia Road. Cuthbert Gentle was 30 years old at the time and he worked as a Tinsmith gas fitter, he was born in Ireland around 1851. He is married to a Catherine (Millen) who is 29 at the time and she stayed at home and was born in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland around 1852. They had the following children Helen who was 5 and born in Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland, James who was 3 and born same place, Cuthbert who was 1 and born in the same place. I know that this is the same family that had my great grandfather Noramn who was born on Feb. 27,1885 in the same place. So there could be a few more children in between Cuthbert and Norman. I know Norman died on Jan. 31,1974 in Florida. I know Norman married a Mary Grant from Scotland and they came to Massachusetts sometime around 1901. Trying to find anything else I can on any of these people. I know that Norman and Mary had 3 children. One was my grandfather and he was given away shortly after birth for reason we don't know. They had 2 daughters named Marion and Norma. I believe Marion was born between 1915-1917, in Winthrop, Mass. I know that Cuthbert and Catherine were living with Norman and Mary at the time of their deaths. Cuthbert died in 1920 and Catherine and Mary died in 1945. All in Winthrop, Mass. Thanks
