Willima Gentle was the son of George Gentle, Jr, and Mary Unknown.

He was first married to Polly (Kincaid we think) and had.
Nathaniel abt 1807
Elijah B. abt 1808
Asly Gentle abt 1810

He next married Elizabeth Bow and they had.

Elizabeth abt 1830

By 1850 he had married Sarah Harper and they had.

George abt 1843
Amanda abt 1844

William Gentle is on the census of 1850 in Jefferson County Alabama with wife, Sarah Harper. Sarah, according to the 1850 census, was born around 1810 in North Carolina. William’s son, Elijah, remains in Jackson County. However, Elijah’s son Jefferson Gentle and William’s 40-year-old daughter Asly Gentle and his 20-year-old daughter Elizabeth Gentle migrates to Jefferson County with William and Sarah.

William is supposed to be buried in Jefferson County Ala.
