Mike,
Sadly, even though some might voice it differently, Paul's comments reflect what hundreds of us feel... particularly thosewho have been subscribers to GC from its inception. There are many wonderful resources within the subscriptions, but the library, for example, is not providing what we were told would be provided when we subscribed. The only reason you see Paul's comments and not many from others is that we have all given up.We have cajoled, pleaded, you name it, and we cannot be heard.I know of some who even wrote to A&E headquarters, only to be ignored.I have to give Paul credit for his stamina. I also have to give tech support a lot of credit for trying their best to attend to customers when the underlying foundation was rotting away. All I can tell you is that many in the genealogy community have quietly spread the word via mailing lists and private mailings that GC has not lived up to its promises and have advised others, particularly "newbies" not to subscribe or fall for what some feel is "bait". Why do you suppose genealogy.com has been sold?If its reputation had not been damaged by what many see as unethical business practices it would be sailing along. Please forgive what you consider complaining - I don't know if you know the entire history here and how stunned and disappointed many folks - particularly those who helped genealogy.com grow initially -have been with Genealogy.com's lack of concern for its customer base.
