I had not tried to creat a report since I changed compatibility. I tried and got the same problem you did. I did the following and was able to generate reports on my word processor. First make sure you are using the rigth word processor. My reports were being created as MS Word but my actual word processor is MS Works. To change to the right processor I went to options in the generations menu, then down to reports, and than to word processor. I had to browse to find my MS Works EXE file. Once I did that I got the same message about an error and my word processor would close down. I found that if I opened my word processor independent of Generations that I was than able to creat all of the reports from Generations. I hope this helps. PS I have yet to try to creat charts and I don't know what will happen when I get to that task. I just bought FTM 2006, but I really like Generations and still use it as my main Genealogy program.
