Generations 8.6 was the final Sierra release, it was the Generations Deluxe DVD edition. It was essentially the same as their 8.51 release in terms of behavior. There were some changes to aid in preparing an Internet Family Tree or Internet Report for inclusion on a CD/DVD.

The initial (only) release was 8.5a to distinguish it from the Sierra 8.51. It is very similar to the Sierra 8.51 releases but it does fix the color box fill palette problem in Easychart under Windows XP. You have to download the patch from the website to fix the color printing bug introduced when the fixed the display problem [FYI, was warned about this but they clearly didn't pay much attention.]
