Web publishing

Is there a better way to publish to the internet than using Generations. I am not satisfied with the options offered. You have few choices of the background colors and that is all the choices you have. I saw a site produced with the Leister product and I am envious. It looks like Generations but better. It even links to the person's home card from the person sheet. I am trying to build a site and would like to have the backgrounds, colors and text at least to be similiar. Any suggestions or do I have to go and find a Mac?
