I think all Generations users should respond to this one! You can't sue them, but you can sure complain a lot. I've used it since Leister produced it as Reunion, and with over 6000 names in it I don't like the idea of trying to recreate all that. Like many others that have used it I too find it much superior to FTM. I tried FTM before I started with Reunion, and didn't like it. Still don't! I am really disgusted at Broderbund/Genealogy.com for dropping it. I know it was simply a financial/competition decision, but there are surely lots of Generations users out there that would have paid bigger bucks than the reduced prices that came along after Leister sold it to Sierra. I'm sure the support costs for it were high and unfortunately, FTM did a superior marketing job initially. Someday it will quit working on newer versions of Windows and I too may decide to buy a Mac just to keep the Reunion flavor around. And I will avoid buying any Broderbund products in the meantime.
