I had a similar problem with old data from Ultimate Family Tree. I simply created a gedcom file in the old program , which could imported into the new program. This assumes that you can still run the old program on another computer. It may be that the gedcom file may be to big for a floppy , in which case a portable usb storage device is usefull , unless you can write it onto a cd?
If the computer that the program is on has been updated to XP then you may have to search for a patch that will make your old program work in xp or simply copy the data files onto disk , and load the original program on a friends computer that is still running win98 or me , so you can create a gedcom file! Messy...! But good luck.
