Hello to the forum!
I was given a copy of a file with a .uds extension
by a late family member. She said it was mad with
a software called Generations.
Am I correct in assuming that one must have the original
software to view it - or - is there freeware conversion
software to convert it to perhaps Microsoft Word or ANY
common universal format? Can ANY program but the original
open a .uds file? Unfortnately, I don't have funds to
buy the software just to use once, and
export the file to a format that I and others can read easily. I hate to think this info could be lost.
any help on this subject would be most
thank you for your time,
Michael (not genealogy savvy)
