Demise of Generations

Thanks Michael Hobart for your reply and support of Generations and your very helpful website.
I queried Genealogy.com regarding the future of Generations and this was the response.

"Dear Beth,

Thank you for contacting Genealogy.com Technical Support.

It is likely that there will not be any more additions made to Generations Family Tree. The main reason they have purchased the different programs was to keep them from being completely dropped. Generations Family Tree, for example, was going to be dropped by Sierra so we decided to purchase it.

In order to provide the best product as possible, we have decided to focus our energy on Family Tree Maker. This way the customer receives the best value instead of several programs that are good but not the best. We regret any frustration this may cause. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Chad
Genealogy.com Technical Support"

The message is Generations Family Tree [Incident: 031211-00023].
You can read my query there. The programs that were good but not the best were Generations and Ultimate Family Tree. There are many people that disagree with that assumption including myself.

It is too bad that Mr. Leister quit making the Windows version of Reunion.

Thanks,
Beth Gay
