Some advantages include that the Easychart color box fill palette display and printing problem on NT4/2000Pro/XP is fixed; indexing and gedcom import is much faster on large databases (8-12x faster - yes times, not percent). A couple of annoying bugs in handling certain foreign characters when preparing web (html) output have been fixed. There are various other fixes scattered around, as there have been a number of releases since v6.

One often finds periodic sales of Broderbund distributed products at retailers such as Best Buy and CompUSA. I was able to take advantage of such a sale and get the $29.99 list Generations Family Tree Plus for only $9.99 <g>. One often sees it on sale for $19.99.

Regards, Mike Hobart
