Michael,
I've sorted this problem out by taking a chance and renaming the "Comctl32.ocx" file to "Comctl32.OLD". This allowed the installation to continue to the point where it failed again. This time it was the "scrrun.dll" file. This I renamed to "scrrun.old".
I had to go into safe mode to do the renames.
However, when restarting the system it tried to do things with a program call "IBM Personal Comms". This is a system which allows me to log onto IBM mainframes at work.
I then re-installed again GGS8 and it finally worked.
I then re-booted again and this time I did not get any problems with the other program. It looks like that may be used by both programs.
Everything is now working as it should do. As far as the version of this goes, all I can say is that it is version 8.
Many Thanks...Steve Thompson
