Generations Software Forum

I, too, keep my older computers because so many of the updated verions of genealogy software have been "over engineered" and to learn to use the newer verions that are cumberson and require more steps to accomplish what you want to do is like learning a foreign language and are not senior friendly. Those software develops are trying to create new work to keep their jobs - thus the unnecessary "updates." The old adage that "it it works, don't fix it" means nothing to those who want continued employment at the expense of the customers. I find that editing my data on the latest version of FTM is impossible.
I have been searching for an alternate geneology program that gives the same satisfaction as the older versions of the FTM and feel discouraged that other types are encountering problems as well.
