I have been using v8.5a on XP with no trouble. It appears to work on windows 7 and data can be edited then saved. However, if I copy the edited file to another location as backup any old version of the file must be first deleted from that second location. Otherwise, the file is not replaced by the edited version, even if it seems to have been. After copying a file it is always worth checking to confirm that the latest version has been saved.
