Moving Generations Sources

Any help would be gratefully received!

I have used Generations for years but need to use a new program on a new computer running Windows 7 on a 64 bit computer.

I have bought Rootsmagic 4 and successfully did a GEDCOM transfer of all the people but none of the Sources have transferred.

Have I done something wrong? I ticked the all sources transfer button when setting up the GEDCOM export.

I have almost 1000 sources, including loads of wordy census entries and the thought of trying to cut & paste all of these is daunting.

Also, having tried to get to grips with Rootsmagic, I am really struggling with its source entry which seems to be unduly complicated. Is another program more like Generations? I am anxious not to get a program which does not have a long life expectancy.

Thanks for any help
