Dear Gerald,

It is possible to run GFT from the CD, by clicking on the EasyTree icon in the centre of the splash screen you mention. However, it is better to use the Setup.exe on the CD to install to your Hard drive. (Use My Computer to open the CD in a list view and then doubleclick on Setup.exe. When it has completed, it will leave you with an icon on the desktop which will run the same splash screen. If you want to skip this, then make a shortcut to a file called Tree8.exe (or change the properties of the icon so that it runs Tree8.exe) ) The manual on the CD has this info as well.

Don't forget to use the 2002 version CD!

Good luck.

Mike
