v8.5a UK dd/mm/yy OR US mm/dd/yy DATE FORMATTING
We find typing in the date separated by '/' is the quickest.
But we have 'Options/Dates'set to display the style...'28 Jan 1980'
as our many members around the world prefer this, as displaying 7/10/63
amy be understood differently by those in the US and the UK.
In v8.5a typing in 7/10/63, my birthdate, displays 10 Jul 1963;
but I was actually born 7 Oct 1963.
So the software is clearly expecting the US input ofmm/dd/yy.
We discovered this problem after typing in a lot of dates separated by '/' and
realised that the software had thought we were entering month first, as used in US, rather than date first, as used in UK.
We can type "7 Oct 1963' and that's what it will display,
but we would find it much easier to be able to type in 7/10/63
and get the display of '7 Oct 1963'
In other words, we would like an option button to tell the software that we are entering the dates in UK format...dd/mm/yy rather than the US format.
Can anyone help?
