Converting,...I think.

I've been documenting genealogy since before home PC's. So now that I've established my age,..here's my dilema. I first transferred typed data and scanned supporting documents into Reunion (on a Mac), then about ten years ago successfully transferred most of my data onto a Generations Grand Suite using a PC. That PC is backed up with a back up and so for Christmas my kids got me a new Mac Book. So, short of sitting at two computers and reentering all data what would YOU do? A few years ago I did purchase Family Treemaker but while it was nice, I was so used to Generations I stuck with it. I'd buy a new veron of FTMaker but it isn't compatible with my new Mac. I understand that ther is software out there that would make my Mac think it was a PC for allintent purposes, If I bought that could I convert Genrations into FTMaker??? Any help for this old genealogist is greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead.
