Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

You need to do a GEDCOM export - for details as to how to do this, consult the Generations maual or the help files. Some of the Generations fields use non-standard GEDCOM tags. These can be corrected before you do the export but if not familiar with the GEDCOM standard tags, it may be simpler first to do a dummy run and see what fields don't get accepted by FTM; you can then amend the tags in your Generations file (best work on a copy) and do the export again.
