Mick,

I see that you are using Yahoo for e-mail. Does Yahoo give you any free webspace? If you don't know, you need to ask them. Likewise with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) which is the company that you pay for your internet connection. Many ISPs provide free webspace as part of the deal. They usually provide written details of how to upload files to your webspace along with your username and password when you first sign up with them. Ask them (read up about it on their website) if you do not know.

Yes, WS_FTP is safe if you downloaded from a reputable website such as the publishers of that software http://www.ipswitch.com

You should not upgrade to Generations v8.5 from Sierra because that is a very old version that is not compatible with recent versions of Windows. You should however consider upgrading to the latest v8.5a from the new owners of Generations because v8.5a is XP compatible. I can help you with that. Upgrading will not however assist you with your web publishing.

Regards,

Trevor Rix
