Isabel

Generations is still in production, the current release is v8.5a in two packages Generations Family Tree and Generations Family Tree Plus. It is produced by Broderbund for the current owner of the software, Genealogy.com. It can be purchased at the Broderbund website, Amazon.com, Best Buy, CompUSA, and so forth.

The software has the ability to upgrade your existing family file - it reads in the normal uncompressed v4.2 family file (NOT a transfer file - .rtx, and NOT a back file - .rb1). It then writes out a file in the newer format used since the v5.2 release.

Regards,
Mike Hobart
