Yesterday my husband received an offer via snail mail to purchase a yearbook of the 2000 years of Josue history. This book could be purchased for $34.85 from Morphcorp LLC in Denver, CO. A "freebie" with the book is a CD-ROM that contains all the Josue records. It stated, "Its Huge." There was a mock-up of "The Year 2001 Josue Family Yearbook" cover complete with a photo. This photo showed a couple with five children, a nice looking Caucasian family. My husband was born in the Philippines. His father was born there also. There is no ethnic resemblence to the people on the cover.
The Social Security Death Index lists only 30 people with the surname Josue. The number of people named Josue in USA phone books is about the same. The majority of these people listed in these two sources are Filipino.
Other sources on the Internet write of receiving the same flyer only with a different surname inserted. This is apparently a boiler room type operation. Just wanting to let others know that there are unscrupulous people out there preying on the genealogical interests of others.
