From a contemporary newspaper I see that one of my ancestors was involved in a "decree of the High court of Chancery" in 1792. I have no idea what this means, although I think it may be a dispute over land/money?? Are these records available to the public and where do I get them?
For what it's worth the ancestor was Henry Cook of Brill, Bucks.
