Inheritance Question
Posted by: Jonathan Phillips (ID *****9895) Date: May 14, 2012 at 22:48:06

I have an ancestor that according to a local history book, inherited land in Texas (unlisted county) and South Mississippi (Greene County). He lived in Northeastern Mississippi (Lee County) and I have absolutely no clue who his parent's were. The lady that wrote the article in the local history book passed away back in 1995 and, of course, nobody knows where her research has gone. My question is, where would I find information on this inheritance? Should there be a record in the county courthouse that he lived in or will it be in South Mississippi or maybe Texas?

Thank you in advance.
