Hi. My family received the "Surname" Family Yearbook offer. It says that it celebrates 2000 years of Mannikko history. I suppose they are using some loop holes and there might be some useable information but not at $39.85+. The Mannikko name doesn't go back 2000 years. My great-great+ grandfather named the family farm Mannikko (Mannikkon) and not only my relatives but anyone who worked on the farm may carry Mannikko as a family name. The family does have info for about 1600 years (on my Dad's father's side) and I believe that any Mannikkos in the U.S. are related. They did know that a good number of my family are in Michigan. It's like there's just enough fact there to be enticing. I agree with this being a form letter. The photo's have nothing to do with my family. There was also a disclaimer sort of note; "Family Historians Note: This data is for you to do your own genealogical research." So I still end up doing any of the "footwork" that I'm up to doing. That work has allowed me to meet some very nice people though- some related and some not. Happy searching to all... Liisa Irene.
