Oh, you always want to check out the records with et al. Generally in an index the first name that appears on the document is the one on the index. I have one where the first name was the daughter of the deceased, then her husband's name. But, his name is the one on the index. As usual women didn't count. Luckily I knew the names of the sons-in-law.
If the transactions run over any length of time, you may pick up "new" husbands of the daughters as they get married along the way. Have fun! (^_^)
