The John Geltz that you are searching for wouldn't happen to be the John Geltz that built the chimney in Port Hope, Michigan would it? If you have no idea what I am talking about, John Geltz built a factory in Port Hope. When the factory burned, all that remained was the chimney. That chimney is now a monument to John Geltz and stands at the waterfront of Lake Michigan in the little town of Port Hope.
