Carole,
Mary was actually born in Chaplin, CT.Her name isn't on the birth record, just "Female Gelinas", born 10 December 1871 to Alphonse L. Gelinas and Lucy A. Brodeur.Mary married Alfred Lambert b. abt. 1870 in Mansfield, Connecticut on the 29th of May 1892 in Willimantic, Connecticut.I haven't had a chance lately to research further on them, but hopefully will very soon.I live here in Willimantic.
I do however have the following...
Alphonse L. Gelinas mar. Lucy A. Brodeur on the 23 June 1868
in St. Guillaume, Quebec, Canada and they had the following children (that I know of so far)...
Alphonse Leon Gelinas, b. 3 September 1869 in Chaplin, CT AKA Leon
Mary Gelinas b. 10 December 1871 in Chaplin, CT
Edmund Gelinas b. March 1873 in Willimantic, CT AKA Edward
Georgianna Gelinas b. abt. 1875 in Willimantic, CT
Anna Gelinas b. abt. 1877 in Willimantic, CT
Claire M. Gelinas b. abt. 1881 in Willimantic, CT
I have more.If you want it let me know and I'll send it to you.
Alphonse L. Gelinas was in politics here in Willimantic, so believe there might even be a photo or two hanging around here.He died the 16 November 1931.
My daughter married a "Gelinas".I asked him if he was related to the Gelinas' that lived in this area to which he answered "No!"SURPRISE!!SURPRISE!!After a bit of digging I discovered that Peter (my son-in-law) is a great-great-great-grandson of Alexis Gelinas and Edwidge Fretzere, thus his lines are yours are connected.Peter's lines are...Frank, Wilfred, Theodore, Marcellase AKA Silas, Alexis.Marcellasse AKA Silas and Alphonse are brothers. There are a total of nine children (that I know of) born to Alexis and Edwidge-Louise.
