I am also interested in the Geisel family although not sure of the correct spelling. I do have Austrian background. Have you heard of a place called "Obernitegren" (sp?) or "Ubernitegren". That is where my relatives came from. I believe that the Geisel name is somehow connected to the "Bleier" name (one of my grandmothers).

Posen sounds very familiar to me although I can't be of much help with that at this time. I think my grandma Zemke and a Reissman came from Posen but must do more research.
