Hi Marc,

I am a Gehlen descendant, my Gehlen anscestor is William (Wilhelm) Gehlen, he was born in 1842 in Germany, and according to the US census his place of birth is Prussia, Germany.
He came to the US in the 1850's. His father is also William Gehlen, born in Germany.
We are hoping to find some family links to both of our William Gehlens.
I am told that we might have family lines that connect to one of the German military's top Generals of W.W.II, who was General Rinehardt Gehlen, who later helped the U.S. form the CIA. Do you have any information that might help?
Thank You!
Brett DeMott
