Levi is probably descended from one of the sons of John Conrad Geesey III, who moved to Blair County and founded Geeseytown. His sons were John, Jacob, George, John Henry or maybe Johan Henry, and Conrad IV. Try the 1850 census and maybe you get lucky or look out on worldconnect.rootsweb.com.
The original name in Switzerland was Gysi, but on this side of the Atlantic it got permutated to Giese, Geese, Giesey, or Geesey.
By the way I have a clipping indicating that my GGgrandfather Charles Thompson Emes trained under Levi Geesey in the railraod shops in Altoona (car shops).
