Mark, it is wonderful to hear this from you! My grandmother was Mrs. Pearl Medille (Louise) Giesy. Basil, Ohio was annexed to Baltimore, Ohio within my own mother's lifetime. I will need to ask her when that happened. My grandmother would have been so excited that we are still working on the Giesy family history, and she believed that there were brothers left behind in the east, when our line came to Ohio.
It is a thrill to hear that our grandmothers crossed paths in the more recent past! My mom will be pleased to hear of this, as we miss Louise, keenly.
