I saw the below letter for sale at the "Your Past Connections" Web site. Thought a Geer descendant might be interested. n.b. I am not selling this myself.

GEER, Col. Elihu Item Number 24818921294509
Location Massachusetts
Item Letter
Price 45.00
Item date 1849
Item condition Very good condition.
Item content Capt. Dean of Middletown, CT writes to Col. Elihu Geer of Hartford to inform him of activities related to mustering of the troops. Mentions the avaiability of Lieuts. Lenard and Weatherby. Dean suggests that the not enough men would be available for a regiment inspection and review.
