Hi Flora,
If someone hasn't replied to your request, you can find George's gravestone at the home page for the Geer family website.According to the blurb under the picture, he's interred in 'the old Indian graveyard' in Ledyard, CT.
If you look in the Geer book, pg 18, you'll see that Daniel lived on land that was granted to George by Owaneco, sachem of the area and eldest son of Uncas.If you research Uncas and Owaneco, you'll find out that they deeded much land to the early settlers because they were on the side of the settlers and before that with the English.
