Hi Susan, I have looked around the Chester area breifly and live not far from there in PA. Burgess was my great great Grandfather, his only children with Lydia were my great grandfather Asa and his sister carrie who died in her early 20's. The other siblings were from a previous marriage (Hobbs). I can remember visiting Asa in the late 50's when I was 4 or 5 years old. When in college in the early '70sI lived with Asa's wife Luella, my great grandmother. She was in her late 90's and from from Chester WV (McSwegin). She had quite a few stories from the early days that she told over and over.
Any info regarding Burgess's siblings would be appreciated, I don't have the Geer book yet. Benjamin must have been related some where along the line. From research, my Geer line is in the Chester area back to Burgess' grandfather Hosea and possibly Hosea's father Asa. thanks, Roy
