The early eastern Vir. Geers are I think all desc. from John Geers in Norfolk Co. by 1640.
I think he or a son migrated north. John's probably grandson, my Daniel GEARS b. c. 1690, mar. Elizabeth BENSON c. 1714 in Cecil Co., Md. Elizabeth d/o Daniel BENSON of Ann Arundel Co., Md.
Daniel GEARS was not from Cecil or vicinity
and most likely came from s.w. Md. or n.e.
Vir.

Your Elizabeth Geers 1735 is the earliest mention of the Geers, etc. name I've found in Vir. 1700-1750.

Any other Geers references in Vir. pre-1750 ?

Steve
