The Geer and Gear name was changed as I was told at the end of the Civil War by my Grandfather Walter Gear, I have a lot of information that I'm now finding time to work on
from old letters, Bibles and what I wrote down from family
stories. Walter Gear lived in Oklahoma, His father was Jack
Gear,Who is buried in Commanche, Texas
The spelling was change due to some horse thiefs and the
disgrace.
