I think I've found the Ashwillet (Eccleston)cemetary on the map. Is it near Anderson's pond almost into Griswold, near Ashwillet Brook? I've marked the modern map using the old map as a guide. Do you know how to access the records for that cemetary? Do you remember seeing any Wilcox's in that cemetary(Stephen or Gardner)? I wonder if that Abigail Eccleston is my Abigail Eccleston (there were a few of them) who married Gardner Wilcox and Richard D. Robbins. She was born, I believe, November 30, 1797. Her father, Ichabod Eccleston's probate records said she was age 20 in July 1818 and November 5, 1818. I think she may have died in 1854 at age 53, according to Voluntown Vital Records (if I have the right Abigail Robens, according to that record). The math doesn't seem exactly right. Were any of her children buried with her. She had 2 daughters prior to 1820, in addition to my GGGrandfather, Gardner N. Wilcox.
