You have spelled the name differently but it is still unusual and I'm wondering if she might have a relative named Shubael. Shubael Geer was found in Vermont in the 1760's. We are trying to connect the name to one of our ancestors named Shubael Coffin Little. John Coffin is also found in Winsor,Vermont at the same time. The Littles are also there and I would think that there are marriages between these families. Thanks Kaye at cehaughee@aol.com.
