Thanks for all that information. We are in Florida right now and a lot of my information is back in North Carolina. I do have Family Tree Maker and I will look up and see what I have.
My grandparents lived in Orson from about 1942. Harvey J. and Kate (Sanford) Campbell. They lived there until not long before my grandfather died in 1967. The house now belongs to my cousin Keitha (Stanton) Korncavage. It is located just before the Methodist Church on the left. I too have been to the Orson Cemetery many times.
AS for Theodore Hatch, he most likely did come down my Husband Richard Hatch's family.
There were more Hatch's in the area. Sabin Hatch,Adelia Hatch married Harvey W. Sanford, Calvin Hatch b. Oct. 1 1812 and wife Charity b. 1813 d. Sept. 25 1853 (these two are buried in the Orson Cemetery.
I know what you mean by strength of our grandparents which also gives us strength.
My grandparents lost three children, one from spinal mengingitis age 6 months, and a set of twins from pneumonia at age 3 months. Then my father, Clarence Campbell was born and he was very sickly at first. What a tragedy. We too have lost a daughter, Terry Lynn, when she was age 10 1/2 from a brain tumor in 1970. You never forget, but somehow you get the strength to go on. We have a son, William who is going to be 40 years old and he is married and has three children. They named their first, Erynn, and she looks and acts like I think our daughter would have, had she lived. Erynn is 12 1/2 years old. Their son Gabe is 9 and another daughter, Cooper is 8. Grandchildren really are such a blessing. Wonder if my Grandmother and Grandfather felt that way.
Seems as if we have a lot in common, but I am afraid I am much older than you. My mother died when I was two and I was always very close to my grandparents.
The information you sent is a lot I did not have. My Family Tree Maker has 5600 names in it and still growing. I should put it on the internet, but I want to be able to go in and change things as I find they may differ from what I have.
