Hi Diane!
I have recently found information on the Geer family going back to the first immigrant, George Geer and his brother Thomas. You're right about Levi and Rufus being brothers and the dates. Their parents were: John Geer and Jerusha Park, John Geer's lineage is as follows: John/Jonathan, Daniel,George, Johnathan, George. If you follow George back to his mother country(England) His parents were Johnathan and Eleanor, George, John, John and Walter Geer. Walter was born in 1450 in Heavitree, Devonshire, England and married Alice Somaster, daughter of John Somaster.
It's a fascinating history. I have an 18 page abbreviated version which I can send you. But I would need to mail it to you. If you are interested, let me know.

Alice
